Good morning!
Another Rumi quote…… *”Do a good deed and throw it in the river, One day it will come back to you in the desert. “*
How poetically Rumi talks about not expecting anything back when you are helping someone.
I remember reading something on similar lines by Osho. Osho says, ” When you help someone, do not expect anything in return…..don’t think that this person will help you sometime in future. Just help him and forget about it.” He further adds, ” Trust completely that just as God sent you to help this person ; whenever you need help, he will send someone to help you.”
I had read another quote some time back…… *The true meaning of life is to plant trees under whose shade , you do not expect to sit !*
These days, I am trying my best to do what Osho and Rumi are advising …..planting trees under whose shade I don’t expect to sit !
